What is an “in-the-glass” pet door?

Run-of-the-mill inserts can obstruct your view, limit door use, and compromise security! Beginning in 2004, The Pet Door Guys are the original designers to develop a panel for pet owners and animals alike, providing a sharp, clean look that won’t compromise your security or use of your patio door. Each Pet Door Guys panel is custom-made and ships fully assembled to match the exact specifications of your existing patio door, letting you use your door and lock as before. (Learn more about us here!)

How is a panel installed?

Our panels replace the existing glass in the sliding portion of your patio door. A professional installer will go through the same process if your glass needed replacement due to breakage or failure, ordering your Pet Door Guys panel using the exact measurements of your original glass. Will it match my existing patio door?

Each pet door panel is ordered to match your existing patio door perfectly. Our argon-filled, dual-paned units are made with top-of-the-line Cardinal glass and white or beige vinyl, matching the exact specifications of your door.

Will I be able to use my patio door as normal?

With The Pet Door Guys’ panel installed into your existing frame, our panel’s design won’t take up any extra space in your door, letting you use your patio door as it was originally intended.

Will this compromise my security?

Our panels are designed with security in mind. The Pet Door Guy’s panel replaces the glass of the sliding portion of your patio door with our pet door panel, ensuring door security by using your existing patio door lock. Every Pet Door Guys’ panel includes a hard locking cover that slides into the interior of your home for added security.

Why the Endura Flap?

We use the top of the line Endura flap, designed with weather, insulation, and security in mind. Each panel comes with a locking security cover that slides into the interior of your home. Find out more about the Endura Flap here!
